Mole de Mayo
ESDC’s Mole de Mayo festival, held annually in May, celebrates Pilsen’s Latino culture and Mexican cuisine with an outdoor mole cookoff. The weekend-long event features chefs from 20+ local restaurants competing for Mole de Mayo’s Best Mole Award and the People’s Choice Award. Along with traditional mole puestos (booths), the festival includes entertainment such as music, visual arts, live Lucha Libre, traditional Azteca danza, an open-air market and more! This event attracts over 100,000 attendees from all over the Chicagoland area and is covered by over 50 media outlets.
ESDC’s Buen Provecho! festival, held annually in September, showcases the tastes of Pilsen cuisine through a walking tour of more than 20 neighborhood restaurants, cafés, and bakeries. Each participating restaurant provides ticketed visitors with a sample or two of their delectable dishes. In conjunction with Mexican Independence day, the historic Pilsen community hosts hungry visitors for a tour of culinary delights!
The ESDC Golf Outing, held annually in July, brings together more than 100 business leaders, developers, contractors, and elected officials from the Pilsen and Industrial Corridor community. The event offers a relaxed environment to network and gain exposure for your business within the Pilsen community.
