Economic Strategies Development Corporation (ESDC) fosters a vibrant and thriving community by supporting hundreds of businesses and corporations within Pilsen and the Industrial Corridor.

Attracting, retaining, and advocating for businesses that will best serve the Pilsen community.
Providing job training and employee resources to local businesses which allow them to reach their full potential.
Serving as liaison and advocate for Industrial Corridor businesses to the City of Chicago.

Economic Strategies Development Corporation (ESDC), formerly known as Eighteen Street Development Corporation, has served the Pilsen community on the Lower West Side of Chicago since 1976, providing technical support, assistance with housing-related issues, and resources for historic preservation to local and Industrial Corridor businesses. ESDC has delivered technical and financial assistance to over 1,000 businesses and entrepreneurs in the Pilsen community, helping to retain more than 1,000 existing jobs and create at least 500 new ones.
